A two-tone kitchen we built for a Listowel home. Newburyport Blue on the base cabinets, White Dove on the uppers. A few details worth noticing: • Pecan-stained mitered maple floating shelves above a built-in kneehole desk • Slab marble backsplash on the cooktop wall, with a small niche shelf set into it • Custom plaster-look hood over the range • Prep sink and seating built into the navy islandDesigned in-house at Heirlooms. Kitchens 3 White Oak Open Shelving Kitchen
The pocket doors on this upper cabinet slide back into the case, opening onto a finished interior with floating shelves for the wineglasses. Closed, the cabinet reads tight and clean against the rest of the white oak. Open, it turns into a small bar moment without leaving glassware out on the counter every day. We built this kitchen around custom stained walnut. A wood this warm can make a room feel heavy fast, so the white quartz counters are there to keep everything balanced and bright.
